Abbreviations

From here on Wobbly dog training services LTD will be referred to as Wobbly dog or Wobbly dog’s, Julia as the owner and head trainer of Wobbly dog training services LTD will also be referred to as Wobbly dog.

General Terms and Conditions

All bookings, either confirmed or pending are subject to Wobbly dog’s Terms and Conditions. Completion and return of the training class, workshop or 1-2-1 application form or the online application form constitutes acceptance of these terms and your continued use of our services confirms your acceptance of the terms in force each time you use Wobbly dog. The Terms and Conditions set out an agreement between ‘you’ the owner and Wobbly dog ‘the service provider’.

Full Terms and Conditions

1. All dogs being trained must be fully vaccinated. Proof of current vaccinations must be supplied before your first training session.

1.1 Dogs displaying symptoms of or diagnosed with illness or transmittable infections must be reported to Wobbly dog and are required to stay away from group classes without refund. Some examples but not limited to are Giardia, Brucellosis, kennel cough, parvo. Wobbly dog requires that they are informed of the situation.

1.2 One to one sessions may be able to go ahead, wobbly dog reserves the right to continue or rebook the session

2. Wobbly dog must be advised if your bitch is in season.

3. Pet Insurance is highly recommended. Owners are responsible for all vet bills, no matter how they are incurred.

4 We accept no responsibility for loss of, or injury to, your dog whilst training with us.

5 All dogs must be kept on a lead unless otherwise instructed.

6 All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

7 We believe using positive reinforcement is the most effective way to train dogs. We do not allow dogs to be handled forcefully during our training. The use of punishment as a training method has been proven to create negative side effects in dogs. Owners who are seen to use such handling methods will be asked to leave immediately and will not be offered a refund.

8 No use aversive tools (choke chains, spray collars, prong collars, e-collars, rattle cans, water sprays etc) while undertaking 1-2-1 training, workshops or in class, flat collars or harnesses are recommended

9 We accept no responsibility for any damage to, theft of, or from your vehicle. Please do not leave valuables in your car.

10 Training sessions may be held outdoors, and terrain may be uneven and slippery in places. Consultations will not be cancelled due to inclement weather. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and wear appropriate footwear. In extreme weather conditions Wobbly dog may cancel your session (even at short notice) if travel or weather is unsafe. If this occurs your session will be re-scheduled.

11 We must be alerted to any behavioural problems prior to accepting a booking. If your dog has ever bitten a person/other animal, you must report this prior to your consultation.

12 If you are advised by us that a veterinary check is advisable it is your responsibility to ensure this is carried out.

13 All appointments must be paid in full within 48 hrs of booking, or immediately for bookings made less than 48 hrs in advance;

• Cancellations for 1-2-1 training sessions made one calendar day prior to appointment will incur the full fee.

• Cancellations for 1-2-1 training sessions made two calendar days prior to appointment will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

• Cancellations for 1-2-1 training sessions made more than two calendar days prior to booking will be rearranged for a mutually convenient time.

• For the avoidance of doubt, a cancellation is defined as any appointment which cannot be made at the time, date and location stated when originally booked.

14 No refunds will be given for any missed group classes. Missed classes may not be taken at a later date unless under agreement of Wobbly dog. * No fees will be refunded

15 Wobbly dog reserves the right to cancel an appointment. Any appointment cancelled by Wobbly dog will be rescheduled for a later date.

16 All credit must be used within 3 months of payment date, unless dated Wobbly dog gift voucher.

17 Online Courses Please note that no refunds are available for online courses once booked.

Client Responsibility

By working with Wobbly dog you agree to -

1 Fully engage with the process of working with your dog to the best of your ability and understand that any changes will involve commitment and consistency

2 Understand there is no 'quick fix' when working with training or behaviour issues

3 Be open and honest in providing information

4 Ask for clarification if anything which is explained in unclear

5 Have an open mind with regard to potential solutions, changes and strategies

Disclaimer

Owners are to understand that all training acts to modify behaviour, this can pose a risk of injury. You are to ensure that necessary steps are taken at all times to prevent injury, including avoidance of situations that might cause aggressive or over excitable behaviour. Owners agree to indemnify and hold unaccountable Wobbly dog, against any and all losses, liabilities, judgments and costs (including legal fees and expenses) arising out of, or related to, any claim of injury to persons or property of any kind, whether before, during or after the 1-2-1 training session, workshop or class, and when implementing suggested techniques with your dog.

Digital Media

Photographs, video or digital recordings are taken of dogs in training for, among other things, use in advertising by Wobbly dog. You (the client) acknowledge that all such images are the property of Wobbly dog and give consent, without compensation, unless stated on your application form, to use reproduce, and alter the images, in print and electronic format (including the internet), either alone or in combination with other texts and graphics.

COVID-19 - ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Maintaining the safety of our clients is of the utmost importance to Wobbly dog. Therefore, until further notice;

If classes or 1-2-1 sessions get moved online due to changing government rules no refunds will be given.

Workshops will be cancelled and re-advertised for a later date, refunds will be given. Clients previously booked will get first refusal on the workshop booked when they can run again.

Social distancing

• During 1-2-1 training sessions, classes and workshops a distance of two metres will be maintained as far as reasonably possible.

• A maximum of five family members may attend 1-2-1 held in public spaces or held in your own garden or other private area, if required.

• Please wash your hands or sanitise before our session, and you must sanitise whenever asked to do so by Wobbly dog.

• If you are in a high-risk category and would like Wobbly dog to wear a mask during your consultation, please advise us of this in advance.

Illness

• If you need to cancel within 2 calendar days of your appointment due to COVID-19 issues (i.e. self-isolation, illness) your session can be rearranged to a mutually convenient time. The fee you have paid will be credited against your rearranged session.

• All other cancellation terms and conditions will still apply.

• If Wobbly dog needs to cancel your appointment due to COVID-19 issues your session will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

• These COVID-19 terms are subject to change to stay in accordance with latest government rules.

Privacy Policy

Wobbly dog is committed to ensuring the protection of personal information collected in the conduct of its business. Our privacy policy is designed to inform our clients and others who deal with us, about how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information.

What is personal information and how do we collect it?
Wobbly dog collects personal information about our clients to provide dog training services. The types of personal information we collect may be contact details or may include further information to enable us to develop a training plan for your dog.

What we collect
We may collect the following information:

• Name

• Information including email address

• Demographic information such as postcode

• Other information relevant to supporting you while providing training services

What we do with the information we gather
We require the above information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service and for the following reasons:

• Internal record keeping.

• To improve our products and services.

• We may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone or mail. We may use the information to customise the website or Facebook group according to your interests.

Disclosure of personal information
Wobbly dog will not disclose, share, sell or rent any personal information we hold about you without your consent unless we are required by law to do so. Where Wobbly dog have outsourced a function or activity to an external service provider, we will only disclose personal information that the service provider needs to undertake that function or activity. We will require external service providers to enter into confidentiality agreements, prohibiting them from using or disclosing personal information, for any purpose other than to carry out the function or activity for which they are engaged.

The quality, accuracy and correction of personal information we hold
Protecting personal information is a priority of Wobbly dog and always considers security and confidentiality when handling personal information. It is important that the information we maintain and use is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If at any time your personal details change, please let us know so we can update our records.

Access to Personal Information
We respect your right to access personal information Wobbly dog hold about you. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act (1998). If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect, please follow the contact details in the further information section.

Data security
Wobbly dog is committed to ensuring that your information is secure. Wobbly dog takes reasonable steps to protect all personal information we hold, from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. All data and laptops are kept securely and laptops are password protected. We will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de- identify your personal information when it is no longer needed.
